Jessica Evans (b. 1995, Salisbury, England) is an emerging British artist who works in a variety of predominantly 2D-based analogue and digital media.

Jessica’s artworks challenge the reference of recognisable form and the finality of an executed work. Exploring the ambiguity via the processes of retakes and variations, Jessica attempts to augment the dynamic between the audience and artist – and more recently the computer and user – by objectifying emotions and investigating the duality that emerges through collated interpretations. The results from these multifaceted perceptions seek to reject historical realities present throughout the art realm.

In other works, Jessica demonstrates the omnipresent lingering of a corporate society by referencing Situationist, Heideggerian and Marxist theory as a form of resistance against the logic of the Capitalist market system.

Jessica currently reads Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University.
